After movies of a nice event are always nice to see.
On 29th of May Lens R&D B.V. and PhotonFirst joint forces and opened a volume manufacturing facility in Alkmaar.
During this event a show of force was given in the sense of a movie showing automated Sunsensor production and a tour of the facilities.

For now this facility is producing hundreds of MAUS and (and the first µIBIS) Sunsensors, but it is the intention to strengthen the cooperation in the future and assemble a redesigned version of the BiSon and IBIS in Alkmaar as well.


A first but major step into industrial scale Sunsensor production and firm definition of what SCOTS stands for. Space qualified components flight proven, radiation hardened and really on stock.
