A new way of presenting the earlier data

Following the TRB we had for the GSTP program we are updating the gathered accuracy data representation. This, in order to make the high performance stability of our BiSon64-ET and BiSon64-ET-B sensors more visible. The shown graph shows the raw error data (so without corrections) before and after the qualification program that consisted of: humidity test according to ECSS-E-ST-10-03 40g sine vibration 34.6g random vibration 3500g shock vibration 12 TVAC cycles between -125°C and +125° Next to this it shows the change in error profile as determined from the two profiles. The first set of graphs  (on the left) show [...]

Basic ECSS testing completed

The testing for our latest test program has been completed and the calibration results are in. consisting of : humidity test as specified in the ECSS-E-ST-10-03 40g sine 34.26g random (@2g²/Hz) 3500g pyro shock +125°C..-125°C thermal cycles Next to the environmental qualfication, the new batch of diodes has been tested to 3.9E14 1MeV electrons (on the bare diodes) This is equivalent to 9.2Mrad total ionizing dose and 12.3E9 MeV.cm²/g total non ionizing dose, The test program in combination with the radiation testing covers most known missions and even makes the sensors suited for extra planetary exploration. The differences in performance [...]

The VaB has arrived

Our new thermal vacuum cycling facility dubbed VaB (for Vacuum boiler) has arrived. This special vacuum chamber has been custom designed by Vacutech (Delft, the Netherlands ). It will serve to perform both lifetime and acceptance tests on our Sunsensors. The arrival was celebrated by a toast to express the hope the system will reliably serve us for many years to come. As all of our sensors have a similar mounting pattern it was possible to design a dedicated hotplate that can hold up to 9 sensors at the same time. The sensors are bolted to the hotplate to ensure [...]
